Sweet "Hidden Figures" Trivia: What Is Being Calculated, Here -- And Why?

I'll come back to this in a few weeks. . .

But this matters, to a certain launch date, upcoming.

Lagrangian points!

Rather than orbiting the Earth like Hubble, the James Webb Space Telescope will be orbiting our Sun. By orbiting the Sun at L2, the telescope can continually keep its sunshield facing our Sun. Doing so will block out most of our Sun's light, giving the telescope a much clearer view of distant suns, and their planets.

Precisely correct — and I think Webb’s revised launch date is February 2018. . . .

Namaste, man!
